What access to food in 2050?
- 29/03/2025
- 16h00
- At Pôle Sud, avenue Jean-Jacques Mercier 3, Lausanne
At this forward-looking workshop, organized by the Hub des possibles, Action de Carême and HEKS, in partnership with Agridea, we’ll take you on a journey through three different scenarios for the future of agriculture and the right to food. Drawn up with a consortium of experts and farmers, these scenarios sketch out the future to make you aware of the challenges of the present.
You’ll explore :
- a future in which the ecological transition is at the heart of societal choices, supported by public investment and social and technological innovation.
- a second in which food autonomy is a top priority. We need to produce more in every country to feed citizens worried about their future in an uncertain world. Policies focus on a form of protectionism and a more centralized production logic.
- a third in which various crises lead to a liberalization of access to land. Land is bought up by entrepreneurs, and farmers increasingly become day laborers.
What are the challenges and questions posed by each of these scenarios? How do you imagine living and eating in these different futures? What are the consequences for climate, health and the daily lives of those who feed us? Each of these fictional stories will enable you to look ahead to 2050, to better choose the world to which you wish to contribute in 2025.
An event conceived by the Hub des possibles, HEKS and Action de Carême, in partnership with Agridea, to be held on Saturday March 29, 2025 in Lausanne. At Pôle Sud, Lausanne.
Free admission, but registration required
