Where do we go from here? Conference and screening with Flore Vasseur

On January 23, 2026, we invite you to a meeting with writer and director Flore Vasseur at the Théâtre Vidy-Lausanne, as part of the "2040 j'y vais!" series of conferences organized by Hub des possibles in partnership with Payot booksellers, the Théâtre Vidy-Lausanne and the Alumnil network.

At the Théâtre de Vidy-Lausanne, on January 23, 2026, you can attend the screening of the film “Bigger than us”, followed by a discussion with writer and director Flore Vasseur. Bigger than us” is an ode to the courage and foresight of the young people who are building tomorrow’s world. It’s also a rejection of resignation. And the quest for an answer to the nagging question his son Flore Vasseur once asked him: “What are you doing to prevent the planet from dying?

But who is Flore Vasseur?

Flore Vasseur has had several lives. After studying business in Paris, she worked in the luxury goods industry, then founded a marketing company in New York. Her first break came after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, which she witnessed first-hand.

In a second life, she lived in Afghanistan for a year, then returned to France and began writing. She became interested in the world of finance, trading and whistle-blowing. She writes columns for Libération, France Culture and Le Monde.

In a third life, she began making documentary films for Canal+ and Arte. She directed her first documentary in 2017: “Meeting Snowden”. Bigger than us” will follow in 2021, and will be presented at the Théâtre de Vidy-Lausanne on January 23, 2026.

In this film, but also in her latest book “Et maintenant que faisons-nous?”, Flore Vasseur invites us to plunge into the heart of ourselves to find the joy and courage to act. Because resignation is not for her!
