Have you ever been to a hotel and woken up in the middle of the night with a nagging pain in your back, because your mattress was soft as a sponge?

In this episode of the Podcast “2040 j’y va!”, we’re going to talk about mattresses. This precious object, on which we spend between five and nine hours every night, but to which we often pay little attention. We’re going to talk about mattresses to tackle the theme of the economy of use with François Pugliese, director of Elites, who has invented a business model that allows him to rent, rather than sell, his mattresses to hoteliers. François Pugliese no longer sells beds, but sleep quality. This has enabled him to demonstrate that it is possible to maintain sustainable, artisanal production in Switzerland, while all competitors are relocating their factories to Eastern Europe.

We’ll also be meeting Charlotte Jacquot, who has been helping SMEs make the transition to a circular economy for several years.

Finally, we meet up with François Pugliese in the future, in 2040, to imagine how the circular economy has unfolded. A podcast proposed by Chantal Peyer.
