The “2040, j’y vais!” conferences, co-organized with Payot bookstores, create spaces for dialogue and encounters between the French-speaking public and writers who shift our gaze, stimulate discovery and open up our imaginations. The aim is to enable the public to :

• provide a clear, documented analysis of current issues
• connect with their emotions and open up their imagination
• explore possible futures and co-construct a new narrative
• cultivate the desire to commit.

The themes addressed will be manifold, but each author will contribute in his or her own way to opening our eyes to an economy and society that respect planetary limits, a society that promotes respect for human rights and cooperation, a way of living together that dares to be diverse and imaginative. The lectures will be full of analysis, emotion, poetry and disruptive imagination.
